Display current category in single post template?

  • I’m surprised I didn’t find anything about this but maybe my search skills need improving!

    All I want to do it show the current single page posts category on my post. So when I’m viewing my post on the front end it should have image, title, author, etc and the category it was posted in.

    Is this possible with the current free or pro version or do I need to edit the php templates?

    Right after I posted this I just realized I got “terms” and “tags” mixed up. (I blame drupal)

    So to answer my own question you display the category by using the POST INFO widget.

    Then:

    +Add Item
    Change “type” to terms
    Change taxonomy to “categories”
