display description in mega menu

  • I want to achieve the same mega menu as you can see in the below link. For that, I have added the max mega menu plugin and added simple navigation menu to the mega menu. A simple nav menu contains icons, titles & descriptions. But on the front end of the website, I am unable to see descriptions. Icons & titles are visible.

    Hi Nirali,

    For menu item descriptions to display, you must display actual menu items in the sub menus (not navigation menu widgets). I.e you need to remove the Navigation Menu widgets from your sub menus, and instead add those menu items directly to the menu structure (as sub menu items of your top level item “Products”).

    If I don’t use the navigation menu widget and use the submenus from the menu structure, then I will be unable to achieve the design as expected.

    For now, I have tried to create the same menu using a custom HTML widget of the max mega menu.

    Please let me know if there is any alternate option.

    Hi Nirali,

    I think you would need to investigate why the Navigation widget does not output the item descriptions (MMM only outputs the result of calling the widget, it doesn’t change how they work), or find one that supports descriptions also.
