Display excerpts for some categories on homepage

  • Hi!
    I’ve been looking for this for a while and also tried different things. But nothings seems to do exactly what I want…
    So this is the case; I want to be able to show the entire posts on my homepage from some categories. Others need to get a read more link. IS there a way (code or plugin) to manage this?

  • Maybe I am missing something, but could you not just put in a ‘more’ tag for those that need to get the link, but leave it out for the others?

    You are absolutely right! But I’m kinda lazy and want to automize is much as possible ??

    It should be possible to write a filter function for the_content to check the category and return different outputs.
