Display in main body? (Not sidebar)

Hi,
Is there a way to display the recent posts in a row in the main body of the website? i.e. not in a sidebar? I want to just have a row down the bottom of my ‘about’ page that has ‘recent posts’ with 3-4 stories that click through to the blog.
