• Hi there,

I have installed the mailchimp list form plugin into my wordpress site and I’m trying to display the alert messages inline instead of the new window confirm page,,

    The steps I’ve tried are:

    – Open Dashboard in my MailChimp account.

    – Click on the lists drop down menu and select Signup forms.

    – Select Embedded forms and Choose Classic.

    – Make sure the disable all Javascript option on the left side of the screen is left unchecked.

And then Click in the area where the code appears and copy/paste this to my webpage, but still opens a new window with the default mailchimp confirm page.

Could be a javascript conflict with other plugins? any idea?

    Thank you :))

  • Hey Jorge!

Thanks for posting to the forum. I totally understand the concern over not seeing that success message being displayed inline.

However, it’s important to note that we’re limited in the amount of troubleshooting advice we can offer regarding the embedded forms found in your MailChimp account, as this forum is primarily dedicated to troubleshooting the use of the MailChimp List Subscribe Form, which is a WordPress plugin.

That said, to make that success message displays inline, you’ll want to be sure that you’re using a form that supports Javascript (such as the Classic form), and that Javascript is enabled. Alternatively, you might also try out our plugin, which will utilize inline validation to display the success message.

This article has a bit more information on troubleshooting that embed code: https://eepurl.com/gOG6

Feel free to post any additional questions you might have about the plugin. We’ll be happy to help!

Thank you so much for your quick response ??

I have already tried the mailchimp list form plugin using the short code [mailchimpsf_form] and it works fine displaying inline messages, but with this option the form only points to one single list and I’d like to use multiple forms for multiple lists. That’s why I’m trying the set the embedded code from (the classic form)with the javascript snippet activated, but still opens a new window with the mailchimp form confirm page.

What I’d like to do is generate multiple forms around the site. Each one with its own list. Seems that the plugin works only for one single list, and pasting the classic embedded code opens the new window. I thought the javacript was created to display messages online,, or maybe is a javacript conflict with other plugins,, I have no idea.

Any suggestions to resolve my little dilemma?

Thank you and, sorry the all the questions,

    Jorge.

    Hey Jorge,

Thanks for posting the reply. While the MailChimp form plugin can only be connected to one list, we would expect that the classic embedded forms that are obtained from within MailChimp would display success/error notifications in the same page. If those messages aren’t displaying as expected, then these are likely a result of some scripting conflicts on the page.

To make sure that the Javascript is working correctly in the form, you’ll want to head to the list in question, and then “Signup Forms” > “Embedded Forms”. Once you’re there, make sure that the “Disable Javascript” option is unchecked, like in this screenshot: https://screencast.com/t/zbae3LjrUhld and then paste that code into you’re site.

If that’s unsuccessful at displaying the errors inline, then I would recommend checking into other plugins that may have some scripting conflicts with these forms.

Let us know if you have any other questions!
