Display latest uploaded/attached image

    Hi,

    I would like to be able to display the latest uploaded or attached image on my homepage. I want the images in full-size (or the size specified by CSS) and not as a thumbnail and I want the image to stay there until a new image is uploaded.

    I have found several solutions like get_image, but that only shows the image attached to the current post. If the current post has no image, there will be no image displayed…

    Is it possible to display the latest image, and if yes, how?

    Try it with this:

$attachments = get_posts( array(
    'post_type' => 'attachment',
    'posts_per_page' => 1,
    'post_status' => null,
    'post_mime_type' => 'image'
) );

if(isset($attachments[0]->ID)) {
 echo wp_get_attachment_image( $attachments[0]->ID, 'full' );
}
?>
