I’ve moved a bunch of posts from standard WP posts to custom posts and now I simply want to display a listing page on the front end. Posts are all assigned to WP Core category “corporate-rental” but not longer appear after the post moves.

The old URL that contained the listings was https://citywise.me/category/corporate-rental/.

We have 45 categories in core so I’m hoping that we don’t need to recreate those with CPT UI.

I’m probably missing something super easy here. I installed CPT UI with the hope that I could avoid getting into code.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @shawnadamsson

Basically WordPress doesn’t include custom post types in the category/tag archives by default, but can be made to, if you’re willing for a small amount of code.

You can read our quick tutorial with code snippets over at https://docs.pluginize.com/article/post-types-in-category-tag-archives/

However, if you REALLY don’t want to do your own code, we do have CPTUI-Extended, a premium addon, that has options for adding post types to various archive queries. Not sure if buying a premium plugin for just that would be overkill for you, but it would be an option.
