I would like to show the “login” if the user is not logged in, and “Welcome, user” if is not.

You could use shortcodes – https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/210-ultimate-member-shortcodes#restrict_content.

Or you could use the php checking code:

if( is_user_logged_in()){

} else {

}
