Display media library captions with simplest gallery?

I have a large gallery and all the images have captions in the wordpress media library. However, when the simplest lightbox comes up, it just says “image 1/25” or something like that.

Is there a way to use the captions from the media library in the lightbox? I have fancybox 2 installed.

Never mind- Just figured out that standard wordpress gallery shortcode tags do all sorts of interesting things, including adding the caption/title, such as:

[gallery ids="189,190,191,196,197" itemtag="div" icontag="span" captiontag="p"]
