"Display name publicly as" not changing

    Hi, I am running Woocommerce with Dokan theme, all my sellers names are showing my name & whenever I try to change their names from Users=> dropdown list of “Display name publicly as” and then click on Update User, nothing happens and my name is still showing as the seller’s name!

    any advice?

  • Hi ahmadsaffarinee,

    This will down to the Dokan theme, as they can code it to display a name in specific format rather than use the “public” version. I guess, in this case, they want the user’s proper name to appear as a seller rather than any other variation. So, if you’d like this changing I’d suggest contacting the theme author.

    I have contacted Dokan team and waiting for their reply, what is happening is weird because If I login into a seller account through /wp-admin/ profile settings, it works.. but changing through my admin account it doesn’t, plus if I ry to change the name again from my access as admin it goes back to take my name.

    It is impossible for me to take the user&password for each seller and change their names myself!
