display number or stories in category

You can pass the list_cats function a parameter so that it displays the count of the number of posts in the category.

I tried this, adding number to categories to show how many articles there was in the categories, but got an sql error? What is right syntax?

This works for me:
<?php list_cats(0, ‘All’, ‘name’, ‘asc’, ”,1,0,1,1); ?>

My problem with _mf_’s solution is that it changes the default order of the categories and removes the outline structure.
Instead I use:
<?php list_cats(optioncount=1); ?>
