    Hello dear pluginners!
I am really confident with Autoptimize, together with Fast Velocity Mini and nothing else (even no cache plugin) I get a 99/97 in Google PS! Wow!
    …now the obligatory BUT ?? :
Now the site (using Divi) is displaying in the first glimpse of the backend user things they should not see… for example displaying the site on desktop you shortly see the slider of the desktop version AND of the mobile version, then the latter disappears. Or on a page you see the whole text of the testimonial widget of the sidebar, after that the page is appearing correctly. Or in the top menu there is a “3” at each menu item then the arrow appears.

This is a bit confusing for the user, but I like the 99/97 PS score… ?? ??
Have you any idea to keep it while improving the displaying of the pages?
As you might hear/read, I am not a code prof…

Thank you very much for support here! (I would have attached pics of the options I chose in AO, but there is unfortunatley no possibility to do that here)
    Greetings, Ulf

    Afternoon Ulf;
The problem you’re describing is due to the “above the fold”-css you entered with the “inline & defer”-option. You’ll likely have to tweak (or regenerate) that in order to fix the double slider or the testimonial thingie.

The “3” becoming an arrow is due to the icon-font being loaded late, you would also have to include the relevant @font-face block in your critical CSS to work around that.

Lastly; although combining AO and FVM seems to work in your case, we generally tell our users they should pick one to avoid conflicts because this _can_ break things ?? In your case it stopped me from being able to see which file specifically is responsible for loading those icon-fonts.

    hope this helps,
    frank

    Dear Frank,
thank you very much for your quick afternoon ?? reply!
I will rifle amateurishly through these code things to kill the css responsible for it…
The marriage between AO and FVM: Yes, this marriage makes quite a difference: 79/90 to 99/97 (mobile/desktop)!
    Have an optimized time!
    Ulf
