• I have a wordpress site that I’ve been running for a while. Recently, it’s been a travelog, but I want to include other types of posts irrelevant to my travels. The thing is, I don’t want the two to be mixed together on the front page.

    The site:
    https://shenjingbing.com/

What I want to do is (I hope) simple:

I want, on the front page, to display at the top the first entry from the “chinalog” category, regardless of when the last entry in that category was made.

Then, I want all the other categories to display below it in normal order. Here is my crappy ASCII diagram:

    ————-
    SECTION A
    Most recent Chinalog entry.
    ————-
    SECTION B
    Everything else.
    ————-

So basically section A displays the most recent entry, and section B behaves just like a normal front page, ignoring all entries from the Chinalog entry, so that only 1 chinalog entry, the first one, appears at one time on the front page, and it always appears first.

    Thanks for your time.
