display only cities and states

    Hi,
    is it possible to display only cities and states and not the full address? (in members directory and in profil)

    Hi pragmacafe,

    It’s not simple (for me) to extract city and state from a Google address, but if you can write the necessary code you can use the filter ‘bps_field_before_details’ from BP Profile Search, file bp-profile-search/bps-templates48.php.

    The above only applies to locations displayed by BP Profile Search in the members directory. Locations in user profiles are displayed by BuddyPress and can be filtered using the ‘bp_get_the_profile_field_value’ filter from BuddyPress, file buddypress/bp-xprofile/bp-xprofile-template.php.
