Depends on how you’re measuring popularity… it IS possible, but it can be expensive to your server usage.

Either by view or comment count, i’m not sure yet. If one is easier than the other on server usage then that’ll obviously influence the decision.

You can use https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wordpress-mu-sitewide-tags/ to pull in all the posts to one site, but I don’t know if it’s easy to identify popularity.
