• Hello.

I’m trying to create a page that displays different categories, but mantains the Hueman postloop style, with the separators and with the correct size with the photos and text.

    Example:

    Page: Documentaries

    Documentaries on X

    XXX | XXX
    XXX | XXX

    Documentaries on Y

    YYY | YYY
    YYY |

    Documentaries on Z

    ZZZ |

I’ve tried to use Page Origin Sitebuilder but the style always turn out of proportions. I Love the style that Hueman uses for displaying posts, just wanted to select different categories to display it on a same page.

    Any tips? Please help ??

Love Hueman. Thanks for the theme ??

  • Hi DandyGomez. Did you try any of the other options I suggested when you asked the same question 10 months ago?

Yes. But the styling always end up wrong.

I’m not a coder, but it seems to be a simple thing to do.
Just a simple code to display certain categories using the theme style.

Does anybody have an example on their own webpage using alternative methods?

it seems to be a simple thing to do

Reminds me of the old saying; “Looks can be deceiving.” It is simple, provided someone has done the proper coding behind the scenes and all you have to do is click an option button or select a dropdown. Unfortunately, Hueman doesn’t offer those options. If the user can’t/won’t/doesn’t want to make the modifications themselves then they need to rely on what others have done; i.e, by using a theme with the desired options, or using a plugin, or having someone else make the changes. If you want to utilize the built-in Hueman post formatting then you’d need to make a copy of one of the theme files, like archive.php, in a child theme, modify the way the loop retrieves and lays out the posts, and use that as a template for your page.

    Just a simple code

It’s a bit more than that. It’s not an overly complex change but it is fairly involved and not something I’d recommend taking on if you’re “not a coder”. Not that it takes a professional level of knowledge of how web pages are generated, but some basic understanding of HTML, PHP, CSS and how WP functions would get you going in the right direction.
