• On this page (https://foothillsbiblechurch.org/watch-and-listen/sermons/encounters-with-jesus), I’m trying to use the shortcode below to list all messages in a series in ascending order by date preached (oldest date first).

    [sermons taxonomy=”wpfc_sermon_series” tax_term=”encounters-with-jesus” order=”ASC”]

However, the order=”ASC” doesn’t do anything. In fact, the order doesn’t seem to be impacted at all. For instance, I changed the date preached for “Nicodemus”, currently the last message in the series, to March 1st, but it still stayed as the last sermon in the list.

    Can you help?

  • Hey @mindflint,

    Thank you for your patience.

We have tested the ordering just now, and there were no issues with it on our end.

Could you please answer couple questions:
How long have you been using Sermon Manager? (if it’s older than couple months then follow the instructions below)
What Sermon Manager, WordPress and PHP version are you using?

If you are using the latest Sermon Manager, and you have been using it for some time, then do the following:
    1) Open Sermon Manager settings page
    2) Go to “Dates Fix” tab
    3) Click on “Check dates for errors”
3a) Reload the page if necessary
    4) Click on “Fix All”
    5) Check if the ordering has been fixed

If you are interested, this is what “date fixing” does. The reason for doing it because if you have old dates, the ordering (probably) won’t work or will have issues.

If you still have problems even after doing those steps, write us an email to [email protected]. Please include some temporary FTP logins, the URL of the website and the URL of this thread.

    Thanks!
