I am trying to create a simple database of files that visitors can search through, then click through to view a more detailed page. The table has 5 columns (IE, name, short description, long description, URL). I want the file list to display the name and short description, and you can click through to display a full page with the full record data.

How can I display a single record from a database table in this manner? I am trying to use the Publisher, but I don’t see a way to select or show a single record on a Page.

    Thanks.

    Hi msleeperdotcom,

    Please follow these steps:
    – Create a publication for your table in the Data Publisher
    – Save the publication (fills the listboxes)
    – Click the Select button and select the columns you want to show
    – Make sure the name and short description are the first columns to be shown
    – Set output to Responsive
    – Type to Modal
    – Number of column to 2
    – Save your publication
    – Test your publication (copy the shortcode in your page)

When you set a publication to responsive/modal number of columns are shown in the list. When you click on a row, you’ll see all the details in the order you added the columns.

Please let me know if this helps…

    Best regards,
    Peter
