Display sub categories before displaying posts

  • I’m using the Aperture Woo Theme and need to tweak the way sub categories are displayed. Currently, when I click on one of my three main categories, I’m taken to the archive page which displays all posts in all sub categories underneath the first category. What I need it to do is display the sub categories only when I click on each category, THEN display the actual posts once I click on the subcategories. How is this done?
