Looks like a great plugin but I can’t seem to save the

Display the age verifier in the customizer
activates the age verifier in the customizer

setting. I load the setting page in the customizer and I can check the box. When I check the box I get a preview of the age verification and it looks great. I click the save and publish button everything looks as it should but when I back out of the customizer and test the plugin it is not working. When I go back into setting the

    Display the age verifier

setting is not checked. All other setting are fine and saving as they should. It looks like it is not being saved in the database maybe? Have you seen a bug like this and do you have any suggestions?

I am using the uncode template if that matters.

    Hello @gtershel

Thanks! I’m glad you’re enjoying the plugin.

The display the age verifier setting is written to disable after you save the customizer settings. This behavior is actually intentional, albeit poorly mentioned. My expectation was that most people wouldn’t want the verifier to pop up every time they visit the verifier, but perhaps I’m wrong.

I should add a note on that setting that lets users know that it disables when the customizer is saved.

Very good and thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

We are having the strangest bug I cannot figure out. We activated the plugin and it appears sometimes. It appears consistently on two of our main navigation pages and sometimes on the home page. It looks like it is setting the cookie correctly when inspected in the browser storage.

I have read through your readme.MD page and looked through the code. It looks like you are using PHP to look for a cookie that is or is not set (get() in age.php). It looks like when the cookie is set the verifer.js file does not load and therefore doesn’t show the age verifier. When the cookie is not set the verifer.js loads and the age verifier screen loads. Is that correct?

Do you have any ideas what might be causing this to inconsistently to show or not show on different pages in the same session? We are using the same page template (Uncode), header and footers for each page. It has me stumped.

My first guess is that this issue is related to a caching plugin. Are you running one?

    (@gtershel)

And you would be correct. Wow. Turns out our host is running a caching plugin or software. Even worse, I was clearing the host cache and it was not responding. Finally I left it for 24 hours and now it works fine. So frustrating spending a day troubleshooting something and finding out I had no chance in the first place.

Sorry to bother you, thanks for your response.

No problem gtershel. I try really hard to bust caches when I can, there’s just so many ways those things can happen.

Let me know if you have further issues!
