Display Titles, Tags, Comments, and/or Copyright Data Embedded in Images

You need to display the EXIF and/or IPTC data.

Configure Photo ALbums -> Settings admin page.
Tick the boxes in Table II-B17 and II-B18.

Make sure you save this data during upload/import:
Tick the boxes in Table IX-H7 and IX-H8.

( Or answer all the yes/no questions correctly in Table 0 ).

You can automaticly name the photos according to their ‘Graphic name’ or ‘Caption’, see the selection box in Table IX-D13

Once you have iptc and exif data imported, you can select the items to be displayed under the slideshow by means of the settings in Table X and XI.

You can also use this data in the photo description field by means of using so called keywords.

Unfortunately, it didn’t work.

I read this in your documentation: “When you configure the IPTC and EXIF tables in the Settings screen (Table X and XI), and swtch the display of the IPTC and EXIF boxes on (Table II-28 and 29), you will find the two boxes below the slideshow.”

I don’t have II-28 or II-29 under any of the lettered sections.

I set the settings in XI, but X does not allow anything to be done. It’s just two lines of #, Tag, Description, Status, Help.

It has text in the Title, Subject, Comments, and Copyright fields added by right-clicking and choosing “Properties.” Do I need to only use photos where IPTC and EXIF are specifically shown with those prefixes?

Sorry, the tables have been renumbered a time ago and i did not yet update the documentation. You should read Table II-B17 and II-B18 instead of II-28 and II-29. Doc is now updated.

Your tables X and XI are still empty. This means that when you uploaded the photos so far, saving exif and iptc was not yet active.

Make sure Table IX-H7 and IX-H8 are ticked, and upload a few more photos.
Then you will see that the tables X and XI become populated with the labels found in the photos.

You can try to recuperate the data in the photos that are currently present, but it is not guaranteed that this will work ( depends on other settings ). Run Table VIII-A7: Recuperate, i.e. press te Start button and wait until Ready!Fixed… appears

Thanks, but it still didn’t work. The Exif Date fields are blank as are Description and Tags. Photoname shows the filename. IX-D13 has been set for IPTC Tag2#005 or Tag2#120, but neither work.

Could I have missed another setting somewhere?

Can you email me a photo that you are sure of that it contains the metadata that you want to see showing up?

What camera is used, and what program did you use to add the data?
