Bit of an odd one this. I’ve been asked by a client to create a website that’ll be showcasing luxury tiles for hotels, apartments, etc.

However, it’s a B2B operation and he doesn’t want any eCommerce taking place on the site itself – it’ll all be phone and email leads. At the same time though, he does want to display how many of each line is left in stock. Is there a way that I could do that with WooCommerce?

To clarify: the client wants to show how much stock is left, but doesn’t want an option to add to cart / buy online.

It’s probably also worth mentioning that I’ve never used WooCommerce before and I’m fairly new to building sites – so go easy! I’m using iHosts for the subsite, so therefore I can’t link to it. Hopefully this won’t be an issue, as I’m just after advice.

    Hi @tprspeak,

You can use a plugin that can hide the add-to-cart button on your site, like the Hide Price & Add to Cart Button extension.

However, since you mentioned that this is for a B2B store, you could be better served by a plugin that can replace the add to cart button with a “request quote” button. I can suggest the Request a Quote for WooCommerce extension instead.
Still, no e-commerce will happen, buyers will just click on the request quote button and will be prompted to craft a message for the seller.

You might also find third-party plugins with comparable features as the above if you search around.

For further info about the workings of the plugins I suggested, you’re welcome to create a presales ticket with us.

    I hope this helps.

Hey @abwaita – thank you so much for the reply and apologies for the delay in getting back.

The ‘Request a Quote for WooCommerce’ plugin seems absolutely perfect, so I’ll be purchasing that tomorrow, thank you. ??

However, while I’m here, I have another – somewhat unrelated – question, if you don’t mind… I just want to know what the best method is for showing the following as a dropdown:

There is x14 quantity of one particular item. If you buy x1 then it is £10 for the one item. However, if you buy x10 then it works out as £5 per item. Basically, the more you buy, the cheaper the units.

I have tried Attributes and Variations, but they alter the stock levels to show far too much stock left on the product page; as each variation is treated like separate stock.

I hope this makes sense and you’re able to help!

    Hi @tprspeak,

    Thanks for getting back.

For the second query, I could recommend the Tiered Pricing plugin: https://woocommerce.com/products/tiered-pricing-table-for-woocommerce/

It should allow you to offer progressive price discounts based on the quantities purchased.

For more info, be sure to check its documentation or create a presales ticket to us.

    I hope this helps.
