Displaying a linked image in a post

  • Yes. Pretend you’re going to add an image to the media library, and click the add image button. Click the “from url” tab, and fill in the blanks. Then you’re done.

    Oooh usefull…..
    Ive disabled the upload button as i dont want people being able to upload pictures to the server but want them to be able to post a linked image directly into blog. Its a shame both methods are in the same tab.

    There’s a plugin called something like TinyMCE Advanced. Not totally sure on the name, and I’m on my phone for this reply. I’ll try to find out for sure tomorrow. Anyway, TinyMCE has a button to do this, that used to be in WordPress, but was removed when they added the media ui. You might be able to add this button back with the plugin.
