Displaying a list of subgatagories for a parent

    I am trying to break up the 3 parent listing catagories I have created for my directory, so I can break them into columns. For example, I have only 3 root main parent catagories, one of them called events, has a category ID in my system of 10, and the taxonomy is listing_category

    I tried doing a copy and paste from the templates-ui.php file for the several functions that do the listing for all catagories, replacing them with parent category of 10, instead of the default of 0.

    Please, any help would be great.

    Hi whatsthehookup,

    First, you should probably read our template customization guide here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/customizing-bd-to-fit-your-theme/ That’s how we generally recommend overriding things, not by direct template changes which will be lost when you next update the plugin.

    But for your issue above, have you tried using the Enhanced Categories module? What are you doing here that it isn’t solving for you? I’m not totally clear on what your goal is. Enhanced Categories allows you to display things in columns, so perhaps it’s as simple as installing that.
