displaying a toolbar on the frontend of a custom theme

  • Hi – I’m developing a custom theme and I cannot get the new toolbar (formerly known as the admin bar) to display on my front page. The toolbar will display if I’m in the admin section, like the dashboard, and it will display if I activate a theme like twentyeleven, but on the theme I’m creating from scratch no bar displays at the top on my homepage when I’m logged in.

    Can anyone help?

    Because I’m still developing the theme using MAMP on my laptop I can’t point you to my site. Thanks.
