    Hi,
    Been trying to use your plugin and if this one feature could work, it’d be the best plugin I have ever used! When the user selects one of the options in the drop down menu, the search result only spits out a link to the post. Is there a way I can get the whole post to display within the same page rather than a link? That’d be amazing.

    Also, as of right now, whenever someone searches something, it says “1 results out of 54 posts.” How can I remove that part? It looks clunky.

    Thanks,
    Sam

    Hi samz_manu,
    thanks for the kind words.

    Regarding the head “1 result out of…”. In the PRO version there is an option to remove this head. But you can use CSS in the free version to hide it. Just switch to Layout > Custom CSS and enter the following code:

    .sf-result-head{ display: none }

    Is there a way I can get the whole post to display

    Actually, you can output whatever you want. The template editor understands PHP, so you can use for example this code to output the content:

    <?php the_content(); ?>

    I hope, this helps you,
    David.

    Hi David,
    Thanks for the response. I got rid of the 1 result out of… thing but still no luck on getting the post’s content to appear. This is what I put in the template editor:

    <div style="float:left;">
    	<a href="#the_permalink#">#thumbnail#</a>
    </div>
    <?php the_content(); ?>

    I fear the problem may be in the Taxonomies and PostMetas. I say that because I don’t know what either of those words are. I have simply selected Tags and article_details in that column. Should I be selecting something else?

    I’m quite a novice wordpress developer but I have experience in HTML and CSS coding so I understand the mechanics of web development. Just not the mechanics of wordpress so please do bear with me. Thanks for your support.

    Sam
