Displaying custom post types in widget

    Hello –

    Is there any kind of shortcode or easy way to display custom post types within a widget? What I’m trying to accomplish is displaying the title and snippet of a specified custom post type and category.

    None that I know of that fit that criteria exactly. I think most people just tend to create their own custom one at that point, at least if they’re dev-savvy enough.

    I know we have our premium CPTUI-Extended that is presently shortcode based but I think the title/excerpt/category display part would need some tweaking to achieve for output, as I don’t think any of the available layouts have just that.
