• I used crop thumbnail plugin for my one of the image and accidently didn’t notice tick on ‘do this for all the images off this size’. Now my whole blog is showing erratic images as it is just making the aspect ratio same as of the normal uploaded images and showing different sizes of image on blog home. Please help me out. It’s urgent. My site url is https://www.preplift.com/blog/

    Hi,
i think the quickest way to fix this is to renew upload the image.

What sizes are defined in your theme? –> What sizes do you see in the crop editor?

    Hello. Thanks for reply

After couple of hours of tracing the exact problem, i have found that crop-thumbnail plugin is not allowing 4 copies of image(thumbanils with large, medium, thumbnail, full size) to be formed. Even I have deactivated and deleted the plugin to check, the problem still persists. When I checked my wp-contents/upload through Filezilla, it shows a single copy of all the images.
Contrary to this, in local development copy, where i never installed this plugin, i can see 4 sizes in my display setting.

Also, could you explain if the plugin is changing my code? If it is required, i can manually edit it too to gain the initial functionality.

Even though i am selecting an area for this plugin to act, it take the initial image and shows it as featured image (a rectangle one) while i am selecting crop area to be a square.

    OK,
first: please deactivate the plugin and check if the image sizes (large, medium, thumbnail, full) still not visible in the media dialog.

By the way: no, my plugin do not change any code on your system. But, it uses the action- and filter-hooks wordpress provides, so it may change behaviour.

About your second problem (still shows rectengular image): Is the rectangular image showing in the backend (Featured Image Box)? It depends on your theme what image-size is visible on this location. If your theme defines that the uncropped version (lets say “medium”) should be shown, than you will see an uncropped version.

If the image on the frontend not change, you may need to hard-refresh cache of the page (SHIFT + F5 on most Browsers).

Additional Note: My plugin only handels cropped image sizes. Its not for adjust uncropped images.
