    1. you can set it as page under events > settings > pages > location pages > display locations as =page

    2. you can edit each location and disable comments under Events > location > use quick edit or click edit

    Hi Angelo,

As explained in the initial question, I tried your solution under events > settings > pages > location pages > display locations as =page.

    It does not work.

Secondly, I’d rather have ‘no comments’ as default for locations. So I tried events > settings > pages > location pages > enable comments > no. This also does not work.

    Any suggestions?

Does Angelo’s suggestion about setting locations as pages work if you use the default WordPress theme?

The comments settings follow the standard WordPress implementation of comments. Because of that, switching off comments in that way only affects locations published after the settings change.

If you publish a new locations, are the comments off?

    Hi Calmin,

Yes it must be a problem with the theme. Can you suggest a CSS code to hide author meta for location pages?

I published new locations but the comments still aren’t off. I’d like it done automatically so I don’t have to switch off comments after events are published

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

do you have sample direct link to your site where we can see this please?

    Here is a sample event:

    https://www.neliti.com/events/international-conference-on-social-and-political-sciences/

As you can see, the location is treated as a post with user meta. Also, people can comment on the location post.

I’m getting an error page for that link.
