• I have several HTML files on my hosting server. Each file contains a year’s worth of my radio shows in HTML table format. I have been struggling with the iframe tag to display the shows as evidenced on my test website sd.mcran.com/wp/shows.

I’m looking for alternative ideas to using an iframe. My main goal is to have visitors access these HTML files to listen to episodes of my shows. Maybe I should layout my page differently? Ideas would be welcome. I am new to WordPress and quickly found out that it is very flexible!!

If you require more information please let me know. I’m currently using Yola to maintain my site https://www.mcran.com but would really like to switch to WordPress.

Really looking forward to your comments and suggestions!! ??

  • Why don’t you simply copy and paste those html-tables into a wordpress page?

I have been doing my show since 1988. I have html tables going back to 2006 that include the show and playlist.I’m not sure how I would organize all of this. I thought of using an accordion for each year as well as a floating menu option. Maybe I’m over complicating things but if you were a visitor to my site and wanted to listen to a show from 2010, how would you like to navigate to that show?

iframes while looking like a great idea for organizing, posed problems for me when viewing on a mobile device. I want to be as simple as possible while making it straight forward for a vistor/musician to listen to one of my shows.

I thought of creating a page for each year and then posting the html-table for that year. That would be really simple but then how would people navigate to the other years? A sub-menu in the main menu?

Thanks so much for your feedback as I figure out how to organize all of this!!

I’m in the middle of transitioning from Yola.com to something else. WordPress being one of the options.
