• Good Morning All,

Loving this theme and so happy I found it and its the smoothest one ive found. Kinda feel like the George Clooney of themes!

    My website is https://www.letsgoandsee.com

What I would like to do is when I click on “travel blog” in the main menu is to have all of the posts come up in a grid format instead of the standard one after the other format that I have on the homepage. How would i go about doing this as I cannot seem to find any way to do this.

Thanks in advance for all ideas and suggestions
    Dan

  • Hello Dan!

Glad to hear you like Olsen Light!

The easiest way to achieve this, without actually having to code a template with this layout, would be to use a page builder plugin. Most of them can create a post grid layout and allow you to isolate the categories displayed.

Start by creating a page with the ‘Page builder’ template applied to it. Then use the page builder to create the post grid of the category you want to display and publish it. Finally you can add the page to the menu and you should be good to go.

    Hi Nik,

Thanks for the feedback, this is something that I tried to do earlier but could not seem to get it right. Whenever I would do a grid layout and then put in “recent posts” it would always come up with the same posts in each box. What I would like is a page/post that has a grid layout of all my most recent posts in order of when they were posted based on the “travel category”

I have also tried adding “theme – latest posts” widget to a row but it still comes up as either the same format as the home page or in a horizontal format rather than grid.

This is the kind of layout I am after https://www.heynadine.com/category/travel-tips/ but in a 9×9 format with additional pages (when it hits over 9).

I definitely must be missing something here!
    Cheers,
    Dan

Here’s an approach you can try.

This plugin can help you create a post grid from a certain post category. You can place the shortcode in any page or post and display your grid.

You can either place the shortcode in a page with the full width template or if you want a wider grid, use a page builder to create a row on a page with the page builder template and paste the shortcode of your grid there.

I hope this helps a bit.

    Hi Dan,

Your blog looks great! I was wondering what plugin you ended up using to create multiple posts per page?! I would greatly appreciate it!

    Thanks,
    Sasha
