Displaying uploaded video on main page

  • I’m not certain if this is the right forum to post this in, but I have a bit of an issue. I’m using FolioGrid Pro Theme (https://foliogridpro.frogsthemes.com/) and while I’m able to link to and display youTube videos in my posts just fine, I’m not able to display videos that I upload to my own server. To clarify, the video (I’ve been playing with a .mov, though I’ll also need .swf functionality) will show up in its post, but not on the main blog page, so I can’t play it from the post thumbnail. Hopefully that makes sense. Support for the theme says the theme does not support preview of uploaded videos, but I’m hoping I can override this somehow… I was wondering if there was a plugin or *something* I could use or do to display uploaded videos like linked videos. Any help would be reeeaaally appreciated!

    Can you recommend one that easily allows me to post .mov? I’ve tried a couple different plugins at this point, and either I’m not able to get them to work properly, or they’re still not displaying the video on the homepage as a clickable thumbnail.
