Displays SUB-Categories but also RECIPE posts a 2nd time

Hello- I am a new user, with version 2.0.6 -My post type is set to feature RECIPES only .

I am seeing the PARENT Category (correctly) and the SUB-categories with posts (correctly) However, the Recipe posts are appearing a 2nd time below the collapsing category display AND causing the PARENT category to double it’s count. Instead of seeing the SIX posts counted- I’m seeing 12 counted <6 in the proper sub-categories & the 2nd 6 listed separately at the bottom>

I do not want to see the 2nd listing of the recipe posts – nor do I want the parent category to reflect 2 counts for the same recipe post. What am I doing wrong in the setting – or category processing? – I am a ROOKIE so hopefully there is no coding needed ?
