    Hi,

I installed this plug in earlier but had to uninstall it as there was one functionality I was lacking. Now I am loking at it again.

My site is news focused and not author focused. So for each topic I would like to list articles based on time stam and not on who wrote them.

The problem is I have 30+ feeds and its pretty inconvinient to find the last post for any particular feed.

As mentioned, perhaps the functionality is there already but then please advice where I can read more about tuning it.

The output to the page is based on the feeds. Articles are pulled from each feed and then displayed on the page. I understand your idea and think it is a good one. The problem that I see is that splitting individual articles out of the context of the publishers feed may violate the publishers terms of use and copyright.

Syndicate Press strongly supports publishers copyright and is specifically designed to protect the integrity of the publishers feed while making the feed content fit in with the look and feel of the site the feed is being syndicated on.

Perhaps there is a way to satisfy your idea and make sure that we protect the publishers feed. I think you have a good idea, but lets keep talking about it and evolve it a bit.

Looking forward to hearing more ideas on this topic…

The responsibility for the adhering to the feed publisher’s terms is already belongs to the administrator of the site using the feed. If the SP plugin simply made the order-by-date/order-by-feed an option with a warning to check the publisher’s terms, that should satisfy the desire honor the terms, and provide the flexibility to order differently when the publisher’s terms don’t restrict doing so. Such a warning also provides a level of indemnification for the SP developer and plugin.
