Displaying excerpts on the grid layout

  • Hello!

    Sorry if I’ve missed some tutorial, although I’ve been looking through them for almost two days now. ??

    How can I achieve the same look as on the demo: https://demo.presscustomizr.com/ In particular, how do I display excerpts under the featured images the same way it is on the demo, instead of on a dark overlay on hover as it is by default. A list of images with titles looks kind of silly. ?? So I’d like to have excerpt on display by default, without having to hover over anything.

  • Look at the options in the Customize section. You’ll find what you need there. I recommend reading ALL the options one by one to teach yourself.

    That’s the masonry post grid which is not available in Customizr ( free ) theme.

    Thank you for the advice, but I have spent 1.5 hours yesterday teaching myself ALL the options, thank you. I couldn’t find it anywhere, or else I wouldn’t be asking. Sorry.

    Are you absolutely sure? Grid layout is available in free version. Or is it some other sort of grid, with normal excerpts?

    If so, then that’s a real shame. Looks like for all its [useless] bells and whistles, the theme doesn’t allow for the most basic things such as displaying excerpts. ?? A shame.

    The following demo that you are referring to is a demo of the premium theme.

    It’s not demo for the free theme.

    That’s Masonry grid layout in the demo and not Grid layout option.

    In the Grid layout for free theme, you can mouse over the featured image to see the excerpt.

    I am not the theme author, if you have any suggestions to the design, please kindly contact the theme author to let him know.

    See, that’s the link to the demo available from inside the free theme installation, on the “About Customizr” page. It says something like: “Read the documentation and view the demo”. And links to this demo. It’s natural to assume that this is the demo of what I could possibly do with this theme, imo. On the demo itself it links to www.ads-software.com theme directory and claims the theme is active on 100k websites. Nowhere it states that this is a premium theme demo. Very misleading. ??

    Do you happen to know if the author ever comes to these forums?
