I am dubious about this plugin especially because of the price. It only half integrates with deepl. Half, because deeple automatically translates the text, but it is not accurate. And above all, the correction options that one knows so well from the deepl app, where clicking on a word will give other options are for whatever reason, not available through translatepress. This is disappointing and annoying as I payed a nice sum in order for deepl to be integrated. It is also unfortunately not possible to auto translate PayPal buttons in the cart, although one is sold the product with the promise that it fully integrates with woo-commerce. I did contact support for the latter, but only got general indications and after looking everywhere and trying many things, I gave it up as a lost cause… Dissapointed!

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us and I’m sorry to hear that you’re disappointed with the TranslatePress plugin.?We’re committed to improving based on our customers’ needs and feedback.?

Firstly, I would like to clarify that the in-context translation feature provided by the DeepL app is currently not part of the functionality that TranslatePress offers — we never marketed that feature as part of our settings. Our integration with DeepL is primarily focused on the automatic translation of content, and while we’re constantly working on expanding and improving our features, we do not support alternative translation suggestions at this moment.
I take this opportunity to say that we?recently launched a new automatic translation feature for the pro plugin, TP AI, which can help you more since it is no longer necessary to configure it on an external platform:?https://translatepress.com/ai/.
    ?
For the issue you are experiencing with PayPal buttons translation in the cart, the way plugins are coded often stipulates the limits of what we can achieve. Our compatibility with WooCommerce aims to translate the vast majority of WooCommerce’s frontend strings, not all custom features added by other plugins or 3rd parties. We also explained the situation to you in the dedicated thread of this topic:?https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/paypal-buttons-10/. I resume here as well : If you want to translate the content from the Paypal pop-up that appears after you press the dedicated Paypal purchase button,?because they run their own application there, the strings are not related to your database, so they are not detectable. Basically, in that pop-up, PayPal is running their platform, which is not related to your website where our product is used.

I apologize if you find our support service did not meet your expectations?but we tried to give you as accurate and clear information as possible, and because you didn’t come back with an answer, we assumed that assistance?was?no longer needed. If you are referring to another ticket you opened directly on our website, please write to us again to be able to clarify, because I did not find that a ticket had been opened regarding the topic mentioned here.?

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Kind regards,

Thank you for your reply. Maybe my dissatisfaction is due to my lack of understand as to how things work, and my expectation that TranslatePress should be able to deal with it, but cant.

What I mean with the “in-context translation feature” is hard to describe. So I have made a screen shot of Deepl while translating something: https://www.woodland-crafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Screenshot-2024-05-28-at-12.01.00.png

I assumed, that Deepl integration meant that this option would also be there.

Thanks for pointing me to the new AI feature. I will try it out.
