Hi and thank you for making Oceanwp theme.

All images that I have put inside my blog posts seem distorted in mobile view somehow. I am using the latest version of the Oceanwp theme and I haven’t experienced such a problem before. The featured image looks normal on mobile view but the images inside the posts look stretched vertically. I use Gutenberg and image block. Nothing fancy.

You can check any blog post on my blog with a mobile view and you will see that too. I have just put some URLs here below for your reference so you can experience it too from your mobile phone. Please check.:

    https://turkishfoodie.com/bulgur-meatballs/

I hope there is fix for this becouse the blog posts looks so weird.
    best regards,

  • Hello @brs76,

OceanWP theme controls only the featured image, and I can see the featured images are full-size.
    Please check this screenshot: https://postimg.cc/gn2ChKcX.

I can also see other images uploaded in small sizes on the mobile and desktop versions: https://postimg.cc/JDBnRWv8.

Please check those image settings on the block editor and ensure the image size is your desired size. You can resize images in posts by adjusting the image size in the block settings in the right sidebar.

If you want to disable the image sizes, you can edit/remove/improve all thumbnails. By adding two simple plugins:
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/disable-media-sizes/
    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

One of them is for changing all crop sizes on your website.
Another one is for deleting generated thumbnails.

According to the data on your website and host configuration, it will take time. But please note that you can get a 404 error on your website using cropped image sizes. Also, getting a full backup before installing or adding changes to those plugins is essential.

    I hope it helps.
    Best Regards

    Hi @shahin
Thank you for your reply and detailed information. I figure out that it is because of Gutenberg image block. If I keep the “Aspect Ratio” > Original at Gutenberg Image Block everything is fine. So adjusting the image sizes manually is not good. Now I learned from the hard way. 100 Post and countles images to adjust. This gutenberg is sucks…
    best regards.
