Was bumping around trying to figure out how to add my plugin to the WordPress’ centralized repository.

Although https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/add/ says, “You can add the plugin you’ve written to the plugin directory by filling out the form below,” there is no form on the page.

So I signed up at https://subversion.tigris.org/

A compulsory agreement to a terms of service page has this as it’s content:

    —————————
    3. Other Licenses

This Site may contain other license(s) applicable to content on this Site (“Other License(s)”). You agree to abide by the terms of any such Other License(s). In the event of any conflict between certain provisions of the Other License(s) and the TOS, the applicable provisions of the Other License(s) shall prevail.
    —————————

I can not agree to other licenses that may exist and that I have not seen, nor can I agree in advance to licenses that may be created in the future and said to be an other license. Especially considering any terms in the other licenses supersede conflicting provisions of this terms of service itself.

Is agreement to these unacceptable terms the only way to add a plugin to the WordPress centralized repository?

    Will

  • There’s a form on the page. It asks for plugin name, description and URL. You must be logged in to see the form.

Someone else might be able to tell you if the terms for signing up for subversion development are applicable to the use of subversion itself.

    Thank you, fonglh!

    Issue resolved.

Turns out the form is visible only when logged in.

It appears, from looking at the form, that an account at Subversion is unnecessary.
