    Versions:
    Yoast 17.7, WordPress 5.8.2, DIVI 4.14.2 and WooCommerce 5.9.0.

    Issues:
    1. Editing a Product Post (WooCommerce), causes DIVI to spawn a blank preview page.
    2. Exiting any Editing Mode spawns a “Your changes will not be saved…” warning.

Currently this issue appears to manifest itself in Mozilla Firefox (update 95.0 64bit).

I am not seeing this in Brave, or Vivaldi which are secondary browsers on my Windows machine. I am also not seeing this on my iMac (Monterey 12.0.1 / Safari)

As I don’t use Chrome or Edge, I didn’t test those. I retested after accidentally using Brave to edit a client site and noticed the issue was present. Looking at the Changelog, Yoast 17.7 was uploaded Dec 2, 2021. I cannot speak to exactly when this issue started.

    Hello @wudman

We understand you are encountering an issue with Yoast SEO, Divi, and WooCommerce (similar to the other thread), and you’ve mentioned that this might be browser- specific (Mozilla Firefox).

Before anything else, we’d like for you to perform a conflict check first, in order to rule out that there are any other plugins or themes that might be causing this.

The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.

Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

Could you let us know if it still occurs with a default WP theme (such as TwentyTwenty) and only Yoast SEO, Divi, and WooCommerce as the only plugins enabled?

    Michael,
Thanks for the response. I have already done the SOP for checking plugin conflicts several times, deactivating every thing but DIVI and WooCommerce at which time I started activating plugins until the issue manifested itself.

When I reactivated Yoast SEO this morning, the issues appeared to go away. Since there had been no update in the last 24 hours, I looked at Yoast SEO changelogs. Yoast SEO’s last update (17.7) was 12/2/2021 yet I had the issue yesterday (12/8/2021).

Then I noticed I was working in Brave which is not the browser I usually use due to installed dev extensions and addons. So I opened the site in Firefox and the issue was present.

As this is a working eCommerce site, I am not inclined to change the theme, especially when deactivating Yoast SEO eliminates the problem in Firefox.

Per my original post, I went through several tests using my iMac and Windows browsers. Only time the annoying behavior happens is with Firefox.

So here is the side story, my client finally authorized re-subscribing to the Yoast WooCommerce Premium Bundle. That bundle improves my workflow and saves my client money. I’d rather have that installed than “un-Yoast” the website.

On the other hand, I have payed a lot of attention to Yoast SEO resources including the YAcademy, to go without the plugins.

Also, if you haven’t already, wander over to the other DIVI/Yoast issue post and there is another mention of a user pulling Yoast under the same circumstances.

As I am not a hobbyist, I try to keep my diligence extreme AND I like Yoast’s time saving capabilities. I venture others just deactivate, delete, and install a lesser SEO plugins.

Thanks you, Actually, we intended to re-subscribe, since our two subscriptions lapsed 30 Nov 2021 and 2 Dec 2021. That is stated in previous posts. Thanks for letting me know that to get a properly functioning Yoast SEO, one must subscribe to a premium product.

We will just use a different browser or disable Yoast SEO when we need to edit a product page. Yoast used to take care of the basic plugin.

    Hi @wudman

Just to clarify, we suggested that you reach out to our support team in order to get premium personal support because your client does have an active subscription, and that would be the right channel to do so.

But this doesn’t mean that we don’t provide support for users of our free plugin, which is why we have these forums.

As per this other forum thread who is experiencing a similar issue with Yoast SEO, Divi, and WooCommerce, we’ve logged an internal bug report for this. We weren’t able to determine if this is browser-specific (I was able to recreate the issue with the latest version of Google Chrome) where the ‘save draft’ button for a product created in WooCommerce and Divi (with Yoast SEO enabled) resulted in a 500 internal server error in the browser’s console, as well as the ‘your save has failed’ message.

We recommend that you also reach out to the other teams for Divi and WooCommerce and report this error to them. Having multiple teams work on this issue would result in a faster turnaround and a possible fix. Please do check on future plugin updates in the changelog for bug fixes and enhancements as to when this might be addressed.

    Thank you.
