divi builder

Hi I installed polylang. great tool.
I read the tutorial and one thing I don’t understand.
When I go to pages and press on the plus sign it is supposed to create a new page like the original language excluding translations of coarse.
But when I use divi builder I need to start new as it gives me a virgin page.
Only way around this is to save to library the original and then using it in new language .
Is this the only way or am I doing something wrong?
