Using the Divi theme. A strange problem started with the latest update to TinyMCE Advanced. (4.2.3.1)

Everything is perfect with one exception: when you click on an image inside the Divi text module editor, the image editing shortcuts do not appear. The really strange thing is that they are still there in the main WordPress text editor.

Any thoughts on why the two editors would function differently?

Does it work when you disable TinyMCE Advanced?

Generally this depends on the editor settings in the other (non default editor) location. I’d guess they disable the ‘wordpress’ plugin there, but may be something else.

Actually, it does not work with the plugin deactivated. (The same results as above.)

TMA is definitely loaded in the Divi editor, as the editor menu, customized layout of the buttons, etc. are all present.

Does this point to an issue with the theme itself rather than the plugin?

I initially targeted TMA because, according to my client, the issue first appeared the morning after the TMA update.

Yes, sounds like an issue with the theme, probably after the WordPress update. Perhaps check for update for the theme.
