• Hey everyone, I could use some help troubleshooting a plugin conflict on my video editing services website built in WordPress.

I’m using the DIVI theme and recently installed a couple of plugins – OptimizePress for my pricing pages and Sell Media for offering video files for purchase.

However, ever since activating these two plugins, my site has been extremely slow and buggy. Pages take forever to load and sometimes don’t load at all. Videos don’t play properly anymore either.

I’m guessing there’s some kind of compatibility issue between OptimizePress and Sell Media that’s causing conflicts. Unfortunately I’m not very technical on the backend stuff.

Has anyone dealt with similar plugin issues on a video production WordPress site..,? Should I try deactivating Sell Media first or OptimizePress? I’d really appreciate any tips on how to resolve this and get my site performing smoothly again! Let me know if any other details would be helpful.

Thanks in advance for any advice! This plugin conflict is making it impossible for me to run my video editing business site effectively right now. Hoping someone here has run into a similar situation and can point me in the right direction.

  • Your best option is to ask Divi support, the free Divi support forum, or the plugin’s support for help. They’ll have the most up-to-date information about their products. Here we answer general questions about WordPress itself.

    Best wishes.

Here I found the solution which help you to related DIVI + OptimizePress + Sell Media Causing Issues on Video Company Website.

First off, you’re right to suspect a compatibility conflict between OptimizePress and Sell Media as the culprit behind the slowness and bugginess on your site. Plugin conflicts are frustratingly common on WordPress sites, especially when using plugins that deal with similar functionalities.

To troubleshoot and hopefully resolve this issue, I’d recommend following these steps:

    1. Deactivate Plugins
Start by deactivating both OptimizePress and Sell Media plugins. This will eliminate any potential conflicts caused by them running simultaneously. To do this, go to your WordPress admin dashboard > Plugins and deactivate them individually.
    2. Create a Backup
Before reactivating plugins, create a complete backup of your WordPress site files and database. This ensures you have a restore point if anything goes wrong during troubleshooting. There are various backup plugins available, or you can backup manually via FTP/cPanel.
    3. Reactivate One Plugin
With the backup in place, reactivate just one of the conflicting plugins – I’d suggest starting with Sell Media since it’s directly related to video functionality. Check if your site speed and video playback improves.
    4. If Issues Persist, Reactivate the Other
If reactivating Sell Media doesn’t fix the issues, deactivate it again and instead reactivate OptimizePress this time. This process of elimination will help identify which plugin is actually causing the conflict.
    5. Update Plugins/Theme
Regardless of which plugin seems to be the root cause, make sure you’ve updated to the latest versions of both OptimizePress, Sell Media, and the Divi theme. Sometimes compatibility bugs get patched in updates.
    6. Seek Plugin Support
If updating everything doesn’t solve the problem, your next step is to reach out to the developers of the conflicting plugin(s) for direct support and guidance on any known conflicts or workarounds.
    7. Consider Plugin Alternatives
As a last resort, you may need to explore alternative plugins that offer similar functionality but are more compatible with your current setup. But only consider this if the developers can’t provide a solution.

I know how frustrating these kinds of backend conflicts can be, especially when running a business. But try to remain patient and methodical in your troubleshooting. Feel free to provide any updates, and I’ll do my best to offer any other suggestions. Wishing you the best in getting your videos, services site running smoothly again!

Try deactivating Sell Media on your video editing site and see if that speeds things up. If not, try OptimizePress. This should help you spot the conflict. Good luck!

It sounds like you’re dealing with a frustrating situation, and plugin conflicts like these can definitely impact your site’s performance. Given the issues you’re describing—slow loading times, buggy behavior, and video playback problems—it’s likely that there’s a compatibility issue between OptimizePress and Sell Media. A good first step would be to deactivate one plugin at a time to identify which one is causing the conflict. Start by deactivating Sell Media, then check if your site’s speed and functionality improve. If the problem persists, try deactivating OptimizePress next. Also, consider clearing your cache after deactivating each plugin to ensure you’re seeing the most accurate results. If you pinpoint the conflicting plugin, you can reach out to the plugin developers for support or look for alternative plugins that might work better together. Additionally, keeping your WordPress, theme, and plugins updated can sometimes resolve compatibility issues. Hopefully, these steps will help you get your site running smoothly again so you can focus on your video editing business. Good luck!

The combination of Divi, OptimizePress, and Sell Media can lead to conflicts, as each plugin may attempt to override core functionalities, especially in a resource-heavy environment like a video website. These issues could manifest as layout glitches, slower performance, or even broken features.. To resolve this, prioritize compatibility by disabling unnecessary features, ensuring all plugins are updated, and testing configurations individually. Consider consulting with a developer to optimize the setup for smoother integration.
