Divi seo home description text – string translations

In string translations, there is the option to translate the SEO home description text. I put in the English and French texts, and when I save, it will look fine. But after a few days it will change and only show the French text. So the area with the English text would change to the French text for some reason.

Not sure if this is a Divi or Polylang issue. In Divi, there is only one area for the meta description: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1W7dU0ewss9fOfyhqONpz24HXDe22oau3/view?usp=sharing

I just leave the English text in this Divi area. But after a few days, it would also switch to the French text.

This happened multiple times, so for now I have given up and just put the English text in every text box.
