• Hi

I’ve tested the Divi theme from Elegant Themes that I’m using via a child theme of my own. I select Divi from the plugin page and run. After a while broser activity stopped but there is no output on the page. I’ve checked Twenty Sixteen that is also on the install and I get a report page back.

WP_DEBUG is disabled. Could that be the reason?

    Thanks

The theme has too many files and the server times out while trying to check the theme.

Any way to get around it?

Increase the memory so the server does not time out or delete a few files from the theme.

Increased memory from 64MB to 256MB, changed PHP5.5 to PHP5.6. Still times out.

Do you think changing the max_execution_time will make a difference? What would you suggest I select?

Theme Check should not be run on a live server environment. Run it on your development system. And yes, you may need to bump up the max_execution_time to more than 30 seconds. I tend to run it at about 300 seconds on my test system.

I was running on a development server but it was on the Internet and open to public, hence you may call it live.

I wasn’t expecting to go as high as 300 seconds, but I will try.

    Thank you for the reply.
