Divi Theme – Link To Specific Slide

Hi. I am using a Divi (Elegant Themes) Child Theme and I want to have a slider and next to it a series of buttons/links that will jump to a specific slide. I think I will have to use javascript for this… I would basically need to same function used when you click on an et-pb-controllers. Has anyone done this before?
