I’m trying the 3.0 beta and it looks great!!!

But I’m having the same issue I’m having with 2.x – in the free version a DKIM signature is added to the Preview message sent to mail-tester.com so my score is really low!!!

    https://www.mail-tester.com/web-gehmm

If DKIM is not available to user of the free version then why is the signature even attached if I can’t use it?! It seems counter-productive?!

    Thanks,

  • Hi,

Thank you for the feedback. We do not DKIM-sign messages in MailPoet 3. If your messages are signed, then it must be automatically done by the mail server/hosting provider that you’re using.

P.S. If you manage your site through cPanel, go to Email section > Authentication menu and disable DKIM.

    MailPoet Team.

My host, GoDaddy, does use cPanel but there’s no Authentication menu in the Email section (see screen shot).

    Re,

We’d like to help but unfortunately this is out of our control. We can only assure you that we are not doing any magic behind the curtains and are not arbitrarily signing messages with invalid signatures ?? Please contact GoDaddy and inquire with them. If you hear back/manage to fix this, please respond here so that others in a similar situation will know what to do.

    Regards,
    MailPoet Team.

Well, I just spent over 90 minutes on the phone with several people at GoDaddy. Most of their solutions involved purchasing some email marketing or enterprise email plan.

But they assure me the Exim mail daemon on my server isn’t adding the DKIM signature either.

They said the Authentication option was removed from my cPanel because it’s incompatible with shared hosting.

At this point I’m going to have to live with it, until I see if it’s really a problem for our members.

    Thanks

    Re,

This is sent using MailPoet 3 from one of our test sites with local SMTP:

Our suggestion is to change your mail service provider. We’re about to release our own sending service that will send 50 messages/second, feature automatic bounce handling, full integration with the plugin and much more. Details to come but you can preview the pricing structure here: https://account.mailpoet.com/

    Regards,
    MailPoet Team.

I’m just curious about the prices:

    1. Is there a limit on the number of emails we can send to a subscriber? Per day? Per week? We have about 400 subscribers, and I typically send two or three emails a week (new post notifications) but sometimes there’s something urgent and I send two or three in a day!
    2. Can we suspend the subscription? Is it month by month or annual? I represent a summer pool, so for seven or eight months of the year we don’t need to send any emails.

    Thanks,

    Schultzter,

    1. You get unlimited number of emails.

    2. You can stop it and renew it. It’s a monthly plan after all.

    Cheers!
