I’m using WP Mail SMTP + Brevo on several sites. I’ve run into an issue on sites where the domain is configured for Google Workspace. All records are marked as properly verified within Brevo (Sendinblue), but when I send a test from “WP Mail SMTP > Tools”, I receive the following error:

Action Needed: It doesn’t look like the DKIM record required by Sendinblue has been added to your domain”

The same error appears on the Site Health screen.

I’ve also ran checks using third-party services who can also not see the records. I’ve checked my DNS records multiple times now and they are definitely in there and correct. Submissions from the website forms are still going to spam.

Is there a bigger issue at play with Google Accounts and Brevo? I was planning on purchasing the pro version, but not if there are issues with an email provider as large as Google.

If this is a Google Workspace issue, does anyone have any additional info on that? All I can find are articles about HOW to setup DKIM records, which isn’t the problem.

    Hi @sledgejen & @fourandhalfgarrett,

Thanks for reaching out! First of all, please make sure that you’re using the latest version of the WP Mail SMTP plugin on your site.

Check the DNS records from your Brevo account under Senders, Domains & Dedicated IPs > Domains. For the specific domain you are sending from, it should appear as shown here. If the records are not verified, please add the required DNS records to your domain’s DNS provider control panel.

Once added, verify the record within Brevo by clicking on “Authenticate this email domain,” as shown here.

After that, make sure to update your “From Email Address” under WP Mail SMTP -> Settings with your Brevo verified domain name.

Once you complete those steps, try sending a test email.

    I hope this helps. Thanks!

I’m not sure why this was marked as resolved before I had a chance to reply…

I have everything setup as you noted above. I didn’t change anything, but it seems to be working now. I originally tested more than a week after adding the records, so it wasn’t a DNS propagation issue. Not sure what the issue was, but it seems to be working now.

@fourandhalfgarrett you might check yours again, maybe it’s magically working now as well!
