DNS Error: Domain name not found
-
I have a WordPress site that is available only on my corporate intranet, not visible on the internet. Test messages from Postman SMTP are delivered fine. But notifications sent when posts or forum comments are generated are not making it to any destination. I can see the deliveries in the Postman SMTP Email log. But I get the following bounce messages:
Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
[email protected]Technical details of permanent failure:
DNS Error: Address resolution of campfire.nmcounties.org. failed: Domain name not foundIt is true that from the point of view of the smtp.gmail.com servers on the internet, that campfire.nmcounties.org does not exist.
Am I required to expose the WordPress server to the internet for Postman SMTP to work?
