• Hi,

I’ve read the official WP documentation on installing a multisite, but my question isn’t handled there.

My objective is to use my existing WP install on domain_1.com to also publish on domain_2.com — and in fact I just need a very simple scenario.

I only want to publish domain_1/ABC as the home page of domain_2. That’s it!

    My questions:

Domain_1 is being managed by Cloudflare. I’m wondering whether it’s simple enough to add the new domain to Cloudflare as well, or if it’s not simpler to just use my host’s DNS…
If I do use CLoudflare, do I need to do anything else in Cloudflare aside from adding a new CNAME & MX record for domain_2? (Any A records needed? Or…?)
My host gives me the option of adding the new domain as either a subdomain, add-on domain, or parked domain. I have no idea which to choose for my basic objective above

    Many thanks!

Add-on domain is what you want. Set its document root to the /ABC/ subdirectory. Add a sub-site in WP that answers to that same subdirectory. There cannot be an actual /ABC/ subdirectory on the server. It exists virtually as part of WP. I’m not familiar with CloudFlare but any domain’s A record must be the IP address of the host’s server. Who is managing the DNS records is whom ever the NS (name server) records point to. You set the NS records through your domain registrar. Anyone with a DNS server can manage your DNS records. Between CloudFlare and your host, who would you think has the most reliable, fastest servers and strong customer support?
