• OK, this is a strange issue,

I’m currently migrating https://www.RegularRefunds.com to https://www.MatchedBettingCentre.com as part of a rebranding task.

I had some initial issues with the initial migration where I forgot to change the WordPress home page. This meant that after I migrated the files and database, whenever I tried to access MBC it would redirect to RR.

I have since fixed those errors, however, the two computers I was using during the initial development are acting very strange, and when I try to go to https://www.MatchedBettingCentre.com, they both redirect to https://www.RegularRefunds.com

It’s as if my mistake of not changing the new domain name in the wp options has been “cached” somewhere down the line. I’m getting the same result whether I use my connection, or through a VPN. If I also use the same VPN on another computer, MBC loads up fine?

As a final note, I have tried both domains from my mobile phone, and two other computers, and they are resolving as they should be.

What the hell is going on?!

    Thanks in advance

    Anyone?

Initially loading the site it did not redirect me, but it could be the options table

There are 2 locations in the wp_options table, siteurl and home

I did notice that the HOME link on your navigation is pointing to the RegularRefunds, if this is not a custom URL set in the menu settings or template, then this will be caused by your wp_options settings

    Hi cooper1210 ,

first of all I suggest a complete backup.

Than check the WP path inside the database using a tool like https://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/ and if is not correct you can fix it with the same tool

Looking through the code a lot of the resources are being loaded via RegularRefunds as well.

Be sure to double check that your template is not hard coded to a domain, but more so a relative path.

You can also test the domain in a private window of your browser or a different browser and see if you get the same effect

    OK,

Very unexpected behaviour, but it seems that it was a Chrome caching issue.

It worked firstly in Incognito mode, then worked normally when deleting my browsing history.

Very strange, and annoying that it was fixed so easily, hopefully this will help others in the future,

And thanks for the other advice guys,

Glad to help and that you got it figured out
